i always thought that everyone had the right to say yes, or no. at the very least, they’re supposed to be given the right and the chance to decide for themselves – to go left or skew to the right. to eat rice or noodles. to have iced tea or iced ribena. to decline an invitation, or to accept one.
you see, i always thought that I had the right to say yes, or no.
seems like i’m always proven wrong lately.

i’m counting down the sticks. i’m counting down the ticking seconds. i’m counting down, for the straw that will surely break this camel’s back.
and hope dangles on a string. provocative. tempting. but ultimately, out of reach.
