back to basics. the usual stuff. mixing up all the lazy items i normally wear into one big lazy outfit.
Go write your message on the pavement
Burnin’ so bright I wonder what the wave meant /
Kick start the golden generator
Sweet talk but don’t intimidate her
Can’t stop the Gods from engineering
Feel no need for any interfering

She’s A Grown Up Disney Princess

Headband – F21
Shades – Cotton On
Cropped Dumbo Tee – Disney
Bag – MNG
Skirt – Sg. Wang!
Heels – shoeshaven89
Way into cropped tees these days. Mind you, the t-shirt is original Disney product from Australia… it was a gift. But I’ve only worn it, like, twice altogether in the 5 or 6 years that I’ve had it… so I cropped off maybe 7 inches from it and now it’s my favorite crop top.
I’m currently reading Haruki Murakami’s Dance Dance Dance. I must have collected about six or seven of his books by now. His writing is as weird and offbeat and surreal as ever.
My boyf thinks I don’t love him anymore. What do I do?
The Drums – Down By The Water
So a lot of people think this song is one about love and steadfast loyalty, which it is, I suppose.
But I choose to think that it’s probably something more. A troubled girl, maybe, and an unfortunate guy who happens to love her.
And if he never gives up on her,
What rights does she have giving up on herself?
Red Means Go
(A backdated outfit, from a couple of weeks ago.)
Probably one of my all-time fav. combinations picked out from the clutter in my closet. While I may never have a proper career in fashion nor ever think to call myself a ‘fashionista’ (what a term), I still reallyreallyreally love styling. About two months ago, I created an album on Facebook, titled it ‘I Wear’, and posted up pictures of my outfits. Very pretentious of me, hahaha! Initially, I did it to direct focus onto my blogshop (so you know, I try to sneakily slot in the clothes I sell)… but now I’m sort of enjoying it. It gives me a reason to WANT to dress up, to WANT to stretch my imagination when it comes to styling – as opposed to just throwing on a random pair of denim shorts and an old t-shirt and, y’know, call it a day.
Maybe I’m channeling all these life-changing decisions stress and identity crisis and loneliness into my outfits, subconsciously directing all of my focus into styling myself day in day out so I don’t have to think about The Other Stuff… but whatever.
Everyone on Facebook and Twitter is bitching about it being a Monday.
You wanna hear about my Monday?
I woke up at 2PM, played Tetris Battle for a couple of hours, had Chipster for brunch. Lounged in my boyf’s condo all day till he got off class. When he was done, we headed to NZ and (here is the only productive part of my entire day) then I helped him create a travel ad for his assignment. We had a late Foh Foh dinner at 10PM, and then he sent me home.
There. There’s my Monday right there.
I guess it’s one of the better Mondays…
*smile
We Are Always Dreaming
Time for sleeps, sugar.
Long day ahead tomorrow filled with more and more nothing.
It’s 5AM.
Long day ahead.

Take Me To Your Best Friend’s House

Yes, that is actually a star tattoo on my right wrist.
I have ten of those, actually.
People like to ask me, so, what do your stars mean? after they get over the initial shock of encountering a person so unstable she would tattoo ten tiny stars all over her body. I don’t actually know what I was thinking when I got those done. I mean, I knew I WANTED star tattoos, but really I only wanted about four or five at most. My tattoo artist, however, offered to do ten for RM200. That’s RM20 for one star (which is sort of cheap as hell, if you think about it). So I got ten. And I don’t really regret any of my stars – I mean, they’re so tiny I could easily cover them up with heavy foundation… but I’d probably cover them up with, yes, more tattoos. :)
Why stars, you ask?
I don’t know. They remind me of good things. They remind me of my dreams.

You’ve all met Anna, of course.

WHAT? You have ten star tattoos?! You’ll never get anywhere in life.

My plethora of rings. I have more.
This is actually the sort of clothes I wear on a daily basis. I wear dresses, like, once every 15 days. Yeah, I sell shitloads of dresses. What, you’ve never seen a hypocritical online blogshop owner moonlighting as a fashion enthusiast before?
Happy April, all.

Here’s a little secret:
I live in constant fear that the people I care for and love the most will one day wake up, decide they want nothing to do with me and leave me behind. And who could blame them? I never allow myself to depend on others, not if I can help it; I rarely ever tell people how much and what they really mean to me; when anxious, cornered, and stressed, instead of talking about it and discussing issues like what normal people should do, I close off, shut down my feelings and do my best to confuse and piss off everyone around me. My boyfriend, best friends, my family would know best. After all, they suffer the brunt of my Ice Queen persona on a daily basis.
I never tell people I care, I never let slip the word “love”. And here’s the thing: because I act so indifferent, because they are never privy to how much, oh how much I reallyreallyreally do care, I cannot blame them if/when they walk away.
Because then it would only be my fault.

This is kind of more the way I usually dress. Everything I’m wearing in these pictures are key items in my wardrobe (re: I recycle these to death). My favorite tee and my favorite pair of cut offs and my favorite boots & this month’s favorite bag. :)))

Ta-da!

Yes, I know I haven’t been blogging much the way I usually blog… But I find that I just have nothing to say these days. Which is funny, because I used to spill over with things to say.
Anyway!
I’m pretty sick at the moment – got the whole package: flu, fever, cough, sore throat, etc.
:(
I hate it.
SpongeBob SquarePants / Patrick Star
Have taken to wearing this Pull&Bear hoodie a lot more than usual since I fell sick a few days ago… which is a good thing, because this item deserves loads more wear cycles than only during cold nights. Paired with an A-line black flared mini skirt & my blue Chucks because I’m just so fashionably creative like that (joking) (God you guys can’t sense sarcasm anymore) (joking).
I think I used to dress like a drugged up rockstar. But now I’m just alternating between being a sporty version of Misty, a full Chinese version of Alexa Chung, and an all-black Paul Frank x Lip Smacker brand ambassador… failing at every version. I THINK I NEED TO GET BACK TO LISTENING TO HEAVY METAL!!! >:(
To end: SpongeBob SquarePants and Patrick Star is my favorite pair of best friends in the (fictional) world. Kind of like Harry, Ron & Hermione, and Elizabeth & Jessica.
Wouldn’t it be nice?
Here’s My Minnie Mouse Impersonation:
(Outfit dated March 5, 2012)
Hey Mickey!
You’ve been around all night and that’s a little long,
You think you’ve got the right but I think you’ve got it wrong;
Why can’t you say goodnight so you can take me home, Mickey?
‘Cause when you say you will, it always means you won’t
You’re givin’ me the chills, baby, please baby don’t
Every night you still leave me all alone, Mickey…
Oh Mickey, what a pity you don’t understand;
You take me by the heart when you take me by the hand,
Oh Mickey, you’re so pretty, can’t you understand?
It’s guys like you, Mickey…
Oh, what you do Mickey, do Mickey
Don’t break my heart, Mickey!
…
(P/S: If the dress looks familiar, it’s because you can get it HERE. AND WHILE I’VE GOT YOUR ATTENTION please go like https://www.facebook.com/thisisnotablogshop! THANKS!!!)
