1. What did you do in 2010 that you’d never done before?

I got into a major car accident </3 Thinking about it now still breaks my heart a little… I moved out and got my own place in SS15. I scored a 4-pointer. Erm, I experimented – shall we say? – with negative substances. I got my first real taste of hosting; I emcee-ed an event in the presence of Datuk Marina Mahathir and renowned journalist and founder of The Nut Graph, Jacqueline Ann Surin … and then I co-hosted a business talkshow / interview with the bigshot of KPMG :) Also dived into event management; I was made the Event Director of the ‘Communicate with Style’ event in college. Did a lot of acting + film-making as well… for minor college assignments of course, but still. I was a kitty for Halloween ;) I went for a rave; Godskitchen at Sepang International Circuit, HAHA. I watched a movie in the cinema while being way completely drunk; felt so queasy I went out to puke twice and then we all left the stupid movie … and continued to drink some more. I was trippin’ in a hospital, omg HAHAHA, shit that was funny… I got floured like mad crazy on my birthday… okay the rest is pretty much way too personal to post about here, so I don’t know, what else?

2. Did you keep your new year’s resolutions, and will you make more for next year?

Never believed in new year’s resolutions, so I didn’t even make any. And no, I won’t be making any for next year, either. Self-actualization isn’t measured by a freaking date! :)

6. What would you like to have in 2011 that you lacked in 2010?

8. What was your biggest achievement of the year?

my 4-pointer, haha! Experimenting with emcee-ing and event management. Being my own person, and being (almost) independent.

9. What was your biggest failure?

Trusting the wrong people. The inability to recognize that I, too, have limits. And for neglecting my fifth semester because I f-ed up the delicate balance between work and play :( It was pretty much play play play all year long.

10. Did you suffer illness or injury?

erm, yes, I hit my head against the windscreen when I met with the car accident. And … fainted a couple of times. I should really go for a body check-up…

11. What was the best thing you bought?

my BlackBerry Bold II! HAHAHA! Lancome Magnifique. And my gorgeous turquoise maxi dress for only rm45, zomg! And my new (current) favorite Topshop nude spaghetti straps :D

12. Whose behavior merited celebration?

definitely not mine, I am ashamed to report. But then again, definitely not a lot of people, either. I would say … B.

alcohol, cabs, cigs, clubbing, coffee. … AND ASSIGNMENTS, OMG, I SPENT SHITLOADS PRINTING ASSIGNMENTS!

I don’t remember, holidays, maybe. And Thirst Heineken: Godskitchen? Moving out? I don’t know.

happier, fatter (!!), richer.

18. What do you wish you’d done more of?

I wish I spent more time on my studies. I wish I read more books. I wish I travelled more. I wish I could have just stopped everything, and taken a breather. And I wish I had kept more distance.

Spending so much cash on all my … experiments. Wish I hadn’t gotten so crazy wild. I wish I hadn’t trusted all the wrong people. I wish I knew my limits.

20. How did you spend Christmas?

the night before Christmas, I was working. Yeah, I know. :) I could have gone wild partying, but I know my priorities.

I thought I did, a couple of times. I was wrong.

I didn’t watch any TV this year! HAHA! But Gossip Girl remains a favorite … and even that, I watched through the internet.

‘hate’ is too strong a word – this is a concept a lot of people don’t understand.

ooh, I read tons of books this year! Haha! My ultimate favorite would be Zusak’s ‘The Book Thief’.

25. What was your greatest musical discovery?

this year, I started listening to electro, house, trance, and techno. I know, right? Haha, I even went to a rave, what the hell! :) … but I still pledge my loyalty to rock music, and I DO still wanna be a rockstar HAHAHA.

actually … everything seemed to come easy to me this year. :)

27. What did you want and not get?

nothing, really. At all. Haha, I am thankful. Except if you count the lack of my own car.

28. What was your favorite film this year?

where do I even begin?! Inception, typically. Valentine’s Day, Green Zone, THE RUNAWAYS!, Kick-Ass, The Losers, Sex and the City 2 (what? I’m a girl.), The A-Team, Toy Story 3, She’s Out of My League, Eclipse (what? I’m a girl!), Salt, Scott Pilgrim vs The World, Social Network, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1 (what? I’m a closet HP fan!), Bruce Lee: My Brother, My Name is Khan …

Least fav movie was The Wolfman … and that movie we went to watch after getting pissed drunk at CocoBanana’s anniversary event on a Monday night. We sat in the theater for like, fifteen minutes before realizing that we were just … too … drunk.

29. What did you do on your birthday and how old were you?

I turned 19 on the 27th Dec … and it was by far one of the best birthday celebrations in the past couple of years. :)

31. How would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2010?

awesomely trend-setting, as always. HAHAHA :P i’m joking, I don’t know, as usual: spaghetti straps, shorts, miniskirts, fitting tees … but adding to that, I also started wearing a lot of blue. And cardigan and jeans, for college.

32. What kept you sane?

pfft, absolutely nothing. I went all-out crazy this year.

33. Which celebrity/public figure did you fancy the most?

Leighton Meester.

34. What political issue stirred you the most?

the burning of churches / Allah issue.

35. Who did you miss?

no one.

36. Who was the best new person you met?

I met tons of new people this year! I really can’t choose!

37. Tell us a valuable life lesson you learned in 2010.

I think I’ve really learned to let go this year — of my fears, inhibitions, everything. I keep thinking; I’m young, I’m supposed to be partying, I’m supposed to do crazy stuff and regret it the next morning … because ten, fifteen years from now, I don’t want to look back and ask myself what if.

We only live once; but if we do it right, once is enough.

This year, I followed my heart and not my head.

& damn, it’s been a pretty good year. :)

I Got My Head Checked By A Jumbo Jet; It Wasn’t Easy But Nothing Is

i’m at a really good place in my life right now.

i enjoy college. i enjoy the whole rush of getting ready in the morning, and then rushing to get out of the house, and rushing to get to college in time. i enjoy, on the rare occasions of arriving early, bumping into the randomest of friends and sitting down for gossips and updates and coffee. i like walking around and seeing friends everywhere that i don’t actually feel the need to avoid. i like the lessons. i like the fact that nobody around me talks about exams all the time, or worry about grades, or always seem to be reading educational materials. i like the fact that we can talk about clothes and take retarded pictures in class .. and next moment, start discussing karl marx theories and pros and cons of capitalism vs. communism.

you know what:

it’s honestly unfair to assume that all mass comm students are flighty and vain and full of themselves. i don’t think it’s an easy, second-rate course; i dare anyone at all to come up and walk a mile in my green heels, and at the end of the day (with blisters on your feet), tell me that mass comm is a ‘simple’ course full of people who either didn’t have the grades to make it for other courses, or people who just don’t know what to do with their lives.

i don’t think mass comm is a program for just anyone and everyone.

i think mass comm takes real guts and determination and a lot of attitude. i think the industry will be catty and competitive, demanding and driven. i admit that physical appearance will play a major role, but i believe a strong command on language is also necessary. i know i’ll have to put in long hours at work, and when i’m out of work i’ll probably have to be social networking. but most of all, i believe it is important to possess people skills … which obviously, is not a skill that just about anyone and everyone have.

; i just turned 17 :) i blew out one starbucks coffee cake and one secret recipe chocolate cake. i got a suprise party at the field, and then we went to the bar and i got royally wasted. the next day i had lunch at chilis, dinner with the family, movie with the date, supper at 3AM. :) and etc. details unnecessary.

; i have no limits. i’ve made multiple trips to hell and back. i’ve dealt with so much shit, i’m really just .. i’m just too tired to even tell people to fuck off. i own the word stress. i’ve been broken mentally and physically i have no idea how i put the pieces back together. i may be a bitter cynical bitch but it wasn’t my doing. i’ve been pushed way beyond what i thought my boundaries were. really, i have no limits.
